I’m Julie and I have been with Mayne Vets since 1990. I originally worked as a veterinary nurse, but have been working as a receptionist at the practice for some time now, since taking on the role as Head Receptionist and organising our Pet Health Club.

I really enjoy meeting our clients and their lovely pets, it was always a dream of mine to work with animals. When I was young child we had family friends who owned a veterinary clinic in Germany, from early on I spent a lot of time visiting time and found it inspirational!

I’m up early at the weekend, attending dog agility shows and mantrailling with my dog Rio, my miniature Australian Shepherd. One of my favourite animals is a long-haired Guinea Pig. I especially enjoy grooming them , it’s such a calming thing to do, and they look so different afterwards.
