COVID-19 Policy
Last updated 8th September 2020
During the COVID-19 pandemic please rest assured that we are still here for you and your pets.
Throughout these uncertain times we have been and continue to follow the advice of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) and the British Veterinary Association (BVA). We are monitoring the situation closely and updating our policies accordingly. The welfare of our patients remains our top priority whilst also maintaining the safety and well being of our team members and clients.
At present we are, where possible, trying to offer as normal a service as possible whilst continuing to observe the social distancing guidelines set out by the government. As such, we are unable to allow clients inside the clinic at present however you are welcome to pop into our reception area. We are operating a strict one in one out policy in reception and would ask for you to kindly observe this when arriving at the clinic and to maintain social distancing if waiting outside. We have numbered our parking bays in the car park, please take a note of this and inform reception upon your arrival.
We would ask that all dogs are on leads with no loose collars to help avoid any pets slipping their leads. All cats, puppies and small mammals should be brought to the clinic in a secure carrier. Once you have arrived and informed reception of your parking bay we ask you to wait in your vehicle, a member of our team will come out to collect your pet and transport them into the clinic for an examination and treatment.
During the pandemic the RCVS have temporality relaxed their prescribing rules. This means, for any clients who need to seek veterinary advice but who are self isolating or would simply prefer not to visit us then we are able to offer both telephone and video consultations.
Should you require repeat prescriptions for your pet please note that we are happy to post out medications where possible, a fee will be charged to cover delivery costs.
We are still not able to offer routine house visits during this time.
We are currently not accepting cash payments.
This is an extremely anxious time for all of us but we will do our best to continue to provide you and your pets with the best service we possibly can.
Stay safe everyone.
