At Mayne Veterinary clinic we know that bigger isn’t always better. We’re a small, tight-knit group of animal lovers, and as a team we thrive on building strong bonds with our clients and their pets.

We want you to feel you can turn to us with any concern, no matter how small, and know that no question is too silly. Our role is to be there and support you throughout your pet’s life, helping to make sure they enjoy the healthiest and happiest life possible. There’s nothing quite so satisfying as resolving a medical problem, sending home a happier owner and a healthier pet.

Most of the team here has pets of their own, animals we love and treat like family members. If you want vets and nurses who treats your pets with the same love and care as you do, with the same kindness and respect, we’re the perfect choice.

Our history – 40+ years of Colchester vet services

Our veterinary clinic was established way back in 1975 by the wonderful Mr Adrian Arnold. You might remember him. Mrs Vivian Long took charge in 1999, another really popular and skilful vet who local people loved.

The current owners, Charlotte and Keith Mayne, took over the reins in 2012. From the very beginning to the present day, all the owners of our clinic have shared the same philosophy: providing a welcoming and friendly environment coupled with exemplary clinical care, the very best you can expect.
